Happy Thaipusam 2024

Classification:

  Excitation Methods:

1️⃣  Permanent Magnet Alternators: 

These use permanent magnets as the excitation source to generate the magnetic field. They do not require external excitation as the permanent magnets maintain a constant magnetic field, resulting in current generation.

2️⃣  Exciter Field Coil Alternators: 

These alternators use electromagnetic coils for excitation. External power is supplied to the exciter field coil to generate the magnetic field.


  Voltage Regulation Methods:

1️⃣  External Voltage Regulator Type Alternators: 

The voltage regulator is located outside the alternator and regulates the output voltage. These alternators are known for their high stability and reliability. The external location of the voltage regulator makes maintenance and replacement easier.
